Terms of sale
Last updated 30 September 2026
These terms apply to every order you place on dekoda-music.com. Please read them before you buy. By placing an order, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Dekoda Music is a trading name of Dekoda Arts Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16067830). Our registered office is 61 St. Thomas Street, Weymouth, Dorset, DT4 8EQ, United Kingdom.
You can contact us by email at contact@dekoda-music.com.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Dekoda Arts Ltd. "You" means the person placing the order.
2. Who can buy from us
Our store is for consumers buying for their own personal use. We currently deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to place an order.
3. Our products
We sell vinyl records of Dekoda Music releases. Every record is pressed to order by our manufacturing partner after you buy it, which is why delivery takes longer than for items taken from stock.
Product photos are for illustration. The colour of the vinyl, the label print and the finish of the sleeve can vary slightly from the images.
Audio previews on product pages are short clips so you can hear the music before you buy.
4. Placing an order and when the contract starts
At checkout you will see what you are ordering, the delivery charge and the total before you pay. Once your payment has gone through, we email you an order confirmation. The contract between you and us starts when we send that confirmation.
We may cancel an order and give you a full refund if the record cannot be made, if there is an obvious error in the price or description, or if we reasonably suspect fraud. If this happens we will tell you by email.
5. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in euros (€) and include any VAT that applies. The delivery charge is shown at checkout before you pay.
Because our prices are in euros, your bank or card provider may convert the amount into pounds sterling and may charge a fee for doing so. Any conversion rate or fee is set by your provider, not by us.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
If a price on our site is clearly wrong, we do not have to sell at that price. We will contact you before your record is made and give you the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
6. Delivery
- We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom only.
- Records are cut to order. The expected time to make and dispatch your record is shown on the product page and in your order confirmation. We will email you when your record is being made and again with tracking once it has shipped.
- If we do not deliver within the time we told you, and you have not agreed a new date with us, you can cancel your order and get a full refund.
- The record is your responsibility once it has been delivered to the address you gave us or to someone you nominated. It becomes yours once we have received full payment.
- If a parcel goes missing, contact us and we will arrange a replacement or a refund.
7. Your right to cancel
You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. The 14 days start on the day after you receive your record.
How to cancel, how to send the record back and how refunds work are explained in our Returns and cancellations policy, which forms part of these terms. You can cancel online using our withdrawal form.
8. Faulty, damaged or incorrect records
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The records we sell must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. In summary:
- for up to 30 days after delivery you can reject a faulty record for a full refund;
- after that, you can ask for a repair or replacement, and if that is not possible or does not fix the problem, a price reduction or a refund;
- you can make a claim for up to six years after delivery (five years in Scotland).
Our Returns and cancellations policy explains how to tell us about a problem.
9. Our responsibility to you
If we fail to comply with these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.
Our records are sold for domestic and private use. We are not liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
10. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as problems at our manufacturing partner or carrier, industrial action, or severe weather. If this happens we will tell you as soon as possible and do what we can to reduce the delay. If the delay is likely to be substantial, you can cancel your order and receive a full refund for any record you have paid for but not received.
11. Your personal information
We only use your personal information as set out in our Privacy policy.
12. Problems and complaints
If you have a problem with your order, please email contact@dekoda-music.com. We will reply as quickly as we can, usually within a few working days, and do our best to put things right.
13. Other important terms
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our site at the time you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. This will not affect your rights. You may only transfer your rights under these terms to someone else with our written agreement.
- Each section of these terms applies separately. If a court decides that any part is unlawful, the rest will stay in full force.
- If we do not enforce any of these terms straight away, we can still enforce them later.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland you can also bring proceedings in the Scottish courts, and if you live in Northern Ireland, in the Northern Irish courts.
